On Friday, February 22, the Consulate General of Georgia in New York hosted Bella Romelashvili's exhibition - "The Connections", accompanied by Nuci Nebieridze's original compositions.
The series of portraits presented on this show represents interaction, they cross each other, go through each other and create the new, outlined face. The faces and bodies, the figures are united and include each other, they are different by characters and different by forms but they are creating one unity.
As Today's world, open by its virtual communication, with the support of different technologies, people do live with this virtuality, and with imaginary connections. There are no borders and no distances in this way of communication.
The series of portraits shows distances as one layer, far and near become just a layer, no more distance, no more space, everything is just one virtual cloud, without a time and without space.
Nuci Nebieridze is a New York-based artist/musician/singer, a daughter of Bella Romelashvili. It’s been a second time when she’s hosting her Mom’s exhibition with her original compositions in the US.
As she finds there’s a deep artistic connection between them, Nuci has been always inspired by Bella as a human being and as an artist; influenced by her abstract paintings, structures, color harmonies, and complex compositional ideas in her art, what then she explores and pursues to execute in her music.
Nuci will be presenting her original compositions within the exhibition.
